Eight Things You Should Know About Accident Damage

1st Never, ever lie - not with your lawyer, your doctor or the other - to your ability or inability to do after an accident activity, be it sports or physical activities or whatever. The truth will come out.

2nd Do not accept checks, sign up, or a release from an insurance company, if you know exactly what it concerns. Sometimes insurance companies will try to get you to release "all claims" - including your injury claim - and lead you to believe that youare only settling your claim for property damage. Check with a lawyer if you are sure are not.

3rd You must disclose all previous accidents and injuries to your lawyer. Insurance companies share accident information in a central database, so that the other insurance company will more than likely find out about this. The only person who can be surprised, your lawyer, and this is never a good thing.

4th It is helpful to a record, how you feel, you think ofDoctors and therapy appointments, medications you are taking, and of course, you inability to work and enjoy one of the "usual" activities that you participated in before the accident. Do not rely on your memory, it could take years to resolve your case.

5th Do not try to "tough it out." See a doctor immediately after the accident. To 100% open with your doctor to the accident description, and all prior accidents or injury or medicalConditions can have an influence on your recovery.

6th There are few "can not" after an accident in real life. In other words, most people back the ability to perform most activities, unless they are bedridden. But generally, they have limitations, it is because they can not do the activity as long as hard, as strong as ever. And your limitations, presented properly, you can make a valid injury claim.

7th Video cameras can be hidden everywhere. You many notYou know, are recorded on video, and it could be anytime, anywhere. I have many times. You lose all credibility when you say you can not walk or bend, and then recorded on video and jogging does for squats. I had a client who called for a serious accident back injury from a car, but lost Florida videotaped at his house and spent six hours in resurfacing the asphalt on his driveway. Needless to say, this devastated his case.

8th Remember, never has aInsurance company a policy of fair pay, fast and fair compensation for persons injured through the fault of another (the insurance policy holder). The money is in the insurance of the pocket, earning interest at the bank, or profits from their investments. (Did you know that insurance companies invested more money in general insurance premiums per year - have in real estate and how - will receive a new premium dollars?)

A philosophical note: I try to selectivelyin the cases that my firm accepts, because I give personal attention to my clients' cases, which want as much as possible. Every year I've seen hundreds of cases declined. I focus not my efforts on increasing the value of good cases to and find those filing frivolous. I believe that good lawyers think this way.

Another note: This report is not legal advice. I try to you information that you make informed decisions. Investigate and check out the things themselves. Get legalAdvice in person, face-to-face.
